London, UK, July 6th, 2023 – Connect Earth has appointed a Board of Directors after finalising a $5.6m seed round in March 2023, raised with a mission to decarbonise the financial sector. Zixin Pan and Stewart Holness join the board alongside executive directors Alexander Lempka (co-founder and CEO) and Nick Carmont (co-founder and CTO).
Founded in 2021, Connect Earth supports financial institutions in offering their retail and SME customers transparent, compliant and actionable emissions insights and carbon accounting, driven via Connect Earth’s API technology.
Zixin Pan is an Associate Director at Gresham House Ventures, who led the funding round in March. Prior to joining Gresham House, Zixin spent 8 years in the Energy industry, working across various business lines including Trading, Retail and Renewable Energy Solutions. During her time as a Senior Investment Associate at Shell Ventures, she focused on early-stage equity investments into fast growing startups in the Future of Mobility and CleanTech, across Europe, China and India. Zixin’s experience in Sustainability and Sustainable Finance will bring valuable industry insights to the company, fostering future growth.
Stewart Holness is an experienced Chair who has helped two startups float onto the NASDAQ and works with a number of businesses on their growth, funding and exit strategy. With his engineering and marketing background, he has led and exited multiple businesses in Europe and the US. Stewart is also Chair of Amulet Hotkey, Sova, Kindeo, Mo, MetaCompliance and DanceRace plc.
