    Our view

    Models are fast becoming a commodity. The ESG knowledge and context around them is the hard part, and that's the part we build.

    An LLM brings the reasoning and an enormous breadth of general knowledge. What it typically lacks is the specificity: your policies, the calculations behind each metric, and a view of regulation that stays current as SFDR, the EU Taxonomy and the rules around them change. We look after that part, so you can outsource the work of staying up to speed with regulation and rest assured that what your agent produces lines up with it.

    Questions about using AI agents for ESG work

    How do I get Claude, or Claude Cowork, to work with my ESG platform?
    Once early access is set up for your team, you add the Connect Earth MCP connector to Claude and sign in with your Connect Earth login. Claude can then look up your funds, holdings, PAI indicators and controversies and call our calculations directly, with the same data and permissions as your platform account. It works the same way in Claude Cowork and in other agents that support MCP.
    Can Claude or ChatGPT create my SFDR periodic report?
    The Connect Earth platform already drafts SFDR periodic reports (the Annex IV and V templates) from your holdings, and multi-fund reporting can run them across a whole cohort of funds. Generating a periodic report from your own template through Claude or ChatGPT is one of the skills on the way, so your agent can prepare the draft, cite each figure and leave sign-off with your team.
    Can I use ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot or Gemini with my ESG data?
    Generally yes, as long as your agent supports MCP connectors. ChatGPT, Microsoft 365 Copilot and Gemini Enterprise all do, and the connector gives them the same Connect Earth data, skills and context as Claude. Tell us which agent your team uses and we'll look at connecting it.
    What is an MCP connector for ESG data?
    MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is an open standard for connecting AI agents to tools and data. Our MCP connector lets an agent look up funds, holdings, PAI indicators and controversies in your Connect Earth data, and run our calculations rather than working the figures out itself.
    Can an AI agent run ESG due diligence before a deal?
    The platform already produces AI due diligence reports and controversy memos. We're extending this so your agent can work across your data room, recent news, your exclusion policy and our data, and draft the report in your IC memo template for your team to review.
    Will the figures from my agent match my regulatory reports?
    They should, because the agent calls the same calculations the platform uses for your SFDR and EU Taxonomy reporting rather than working PAI indicators out from memory. Every figure comes back with its source and methodology, so it's easy to check.
    Is it live?
    It's in early access, opening first to existing customers. Tell us which agent your team uses and we'll look at connecting it.
    Can the agent change our data?
    Early access skills read and explain your data. Tools that act on it, such as uploading a portfolio or generating a report, are on the way and will follow the same permissions as your platform account.
    Does it give opinions on companies?
    No. It describes what the data shows and cites the source. Methodology and judgement stay with your team.
